I have finally given in to the pressure and signed up to Twitter.

It now means I've got 4 websites to keep up to date(!) so I might end up being chained to my computer. But I do like the fact you can just put one line comments on Twitter. And it's quite cool being able to get a little insight in other people's lives - it's amazing how many famous people are on there!

I’ve been so thrilled with the comments and emails I’ve been receiving from people who have heard Smile on the radio – especially when they tell me they’ve been onto iTunes and bought all my songs! Let's hope the radio play keeps on coming!!

Callaghan's new song SMILE is to be played on Bob Harris's Country Show tonight (Thurs 13th August)

The show is on BBC Radio 2 between 7pm-8pm GMT

I am launching a campaign to get into the UK Top 40 this November and need your help!

I am releasing my new single “Look Around” on October 26th on iTunes UK

It might seem a crazy idea to some people, but last year the average number of singles sold to get into the Top 40 was only 2,500 – not many I think you’d agree?
So even though I have no manager, no record label, and no PR budget, I think with your help this can be achieved.

I think it will send out a really strong message that the public can decide who is successful – not just Simon Cowell!
This campaign really is about shaking up the industry and seeing what one unsigned artist can achieve – I am therefore donating all proceeds from the single to music charity Live Music Now.

I am encouraging people to sign up to my mailing list to pledge their support and in return I will send them a free download of my version of the song “Over the rainbow”.
Then all I need you to do is spend 79p of your hard earned cash on the week of 26th October to help me achieve this goal. If I sell over 2,500 downloads you might just see me in the Top 40 on 2nd November!!

Callaghan is in this week's OK! Magazine (Jan 8, 2008) after attending the Emeralds and Ivy Ball, hosted by Ronan Keating.

The star-studded event, in aid of Cancer Research UK, was held at London's Old Billingsgate, and was attended by many well known names including Rod Stewart, Jodie Kidd, Alan Shearer, and Westlife's Shane Filan.
